Ned Douglas
The desire to work in the music business inspired Ned to successfully graduate from The London School of Sound Engineering in 1991 where he went straight into full time employment with Andy Wright, soon to become a successful producer, but at that time still a busy programmer/writer, and whose varied clientele provided Ned with an enviable training.
After assisting Andy with his work on the Simply Red album “Life”, and touring with them as full time programmer, in 1999 he formed an enduring working relationship with Dave Stewart that has resulted in collaborations with a huge range and variety of artists including Marianne Faithfull, Gwen Stefani, No Doubt, Mudbone, Shakira, Anastasia and Jimmy Cliff, to name but a few. He has also worked on OST’s for Dave - including "Tombraider 2", the entire "Alfie" soundtrack with Mick Jagger and "Around the World in 80 Days."
Ned is currently working in Los Angeles where he is programming for Dave Stewart's major new project - Platinum Weird, Gavin Rossdale (Bush), writing and producing for new acts Nadirah X and Fresh Mud. He is also working on tracks for the new Simpsons movie.
